LADUBABA TEMPLE
IS THE FAMOUS SAIVA TEMPLE OF ORISSA SITUATED
IN SARANKUL
OF
NAYAGARH DISTRICT
MIRACULOUS LORD LADUBABA
Lord Shivasankar is called Lord
Ladubaba or LADUKESH MAHESH here in sarankul. Ocean of mysteries is Lord Ladubaba. As His name
is mysterious so His abode & deeds. It has been found through investigation
that if some one drops a coin into the crack of cow foot marks (which are on
the both east and west side of the Lingam) it goes away somewhere with a jingle
sound for ever.
At the time of JALASHAYEE mali sevakas
and parichha say, the water poured on the Siva Lingam disappears some where not
passing out through the pipe fixed into the PADUKA KUNDA. But the cow foot
print crack is like a ditch where you can always get PADUK at any time as you
like.
About His lingam it is more miraculous. A
rough stone becomes polished when it is used , but this lingam which is like an
opened umbrella , does not loss a single dust despite of being polished with a lot of
sugar, panchamrita, oranges , bananas , Anla and til oil as well. So it is
another miracle of lord Siva. Really this Lingam like rock is very rough when
you touch your palm. Even if your hand slips unknowingly it will get cut
slightly.
On the other hand the gem house of
lord ladubaba is also mystery as per opinion of people Satara Khan , the then
ruler , tried himself to open the door of this house ,but in vain. His proud
broke into pieces. He heard the hiss and left the temple being frightened.
There is also a well in the north
west corner of the temple campus. Its water level is
always equal with the level of the big pond which is to the south of the temple
. More over the taste and colour of both waters are same, no different.
The legend says Banasura comes
daily to pay a visit to Lord Ladubaba through a secret tunnel made by him.
It is extra credit of the mason of
this temple that the first sun shine falls on the Lingam creating multi colours
on equinox (March 21 and Sept 23) .Indeed how wonderful the form and
engineering of this temple is!
The PARICHHA, Mr. Jashobanta Kar
described three events when contacted which are based upon the truth.
The first event: - During the flood
period of 1972, a GUHARIA (One devotee who wishes a boon during his period i.e. 21 days of stay in the
temple) , who was floating like a dead body on the water in the BEDHA when the
temple campus was full with water , without sense . In the meanwhile a pigeon
from the top of the temple came flying and crashed and smashed against the
devotee’s body and then the GUHARIA got life and got up before the public who
noticed eagerly standing silently.
The second event :- When Eshwar
Chandra Behera was the sub-collector of Nayagarh district, a devotee came to
temple for a boon and he took the holy name of Lord Siva cutting his throat.
then he lost his sense and fell down. The Brahmin Sevaka when sprinkled
PADUKA on him , he rose and was found
with spotless throat with a new life.
The third event :- A GUHARIA cut his tongue into two pieces and
threw the top piece. After some time when he got up he was found to talk
clearly with as usual tongue. Thanks to the blessing of Lord Ladubaba.
These three cases were happened in
his life. He had investigated the last two.
In this age of science what is more
miraculous than this ? Regarding to the fishes of the temple pond there are so many
sayings which are full of mystery. Besides them the preparation of GAJA &
KADAMBA creates so many questions in every body’s mind having seen its shape ,
size and its Highness.
In the universe Lord Ladubaba is
more miraculous than the black hole. Scientists may achieve success to uncover
the mystery of black hole but to find out whose starting point and ending
point, Lord Brahma & Lord Vishnu are unable and for whom flower KETAKI
became untouchable , being human beings we are trifle before the unique and
really helpless without his mercy to penetrate His mystery.
